STRAWBERRY CHIA JAM
Strawberry Chia Jam Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine the strawberries and sweetener (if using) and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes until the strawberries are soft and juicy.
Using a fork or potato masher, mash the strawberries to your desired consistency.
Add the chia seeds, vanilla extract, and salt and stir to combine.
Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes until it thickens to a jam-like consistency, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and let the jam cool completely before transferring to a jar.
Store the jam in the refrigerator for up to a week.
